überdies

Fragmentary, sometimes detailed, time-delayed, sometimes presented simultaneously, überdies is a tapestry that highlights the characters before they re-emerge into the colourfulness and light of their surroundings.
In a one-shot studio recording, the musicians Christof Steinmann, Fatima Dunn and the Aerocharribang improvised to the still raw cut sketches. This resulted in three pieces, one of which was used unchanged for the video loop.
The complete absence of the original sound reinforces the sublime distance to the protagonists. Moreover, the painterly handling of elements of light and the multi-layered perspective was important in the development of this filmic work.
